Create assets for Twitch in seconds with Gen-AI

What launched?

Amazon DSP is introducing a new Gen-AI creative workflow that streamlines the process of purchasing Twitch inventory. When an advertiser uploads an eligible image asset into the Standard Display creative template, it will automatically be used to generate additional assets fit for one or more Twitch placements, saving advertisers both time and cost on designing these assets.

The customer workflow is as follows:

  • In the Amazon DSP UI, from the “Create creative” workflow, select the “Display” tab and then “Standard display”

  1. Before users upload images, they will see a message about the Gen-AI feature integrated and its benefit;

  1. When users upload an asset with a similar height/width ratio to one of Twitch placement sizes, it will be automatically used to generate one or more assets fit for Twitch. If the asset is the same size as a mobile placement that requires 2x resolution, it’ll also be upscaled automatically to meet the spec requirement.
  2. Users can review all newly generated assets in a flyout.
  3. After saving this creative, users need to associate it with a Display line item that opts into Twitch inventory. The step of association will trigger moderation for this creative. Once the creative passes moderation and this line item is set as active, these AI-Gen assets will be ready to serve on Twitch inventory.

Why is it important?

On Twitch, streamers create content, form tight-knit bonds with their viewers, and establish highly connected communities who value live engagement and lasting relationships. With the help of Amazon’s first-party signals, brands can combine high-impact display ads to forge authentic ties with these streamers and their hard-to-reach young-adult cohorts.

A barrier for Amazon DSP customers to target Twitch display inventory is that Twitch has a different set of placement sizes, and therefore requires additional time and resources in creative design. With this launch, customers no longer need to produce additional assets to target Twitch. Internal analysis shows that a large percentage of Amazon DSP campaigns already have an asset that can be used to generate additional Twitch assets, with no design cost to customers, and thus expand campaign reach.
