At CES 2025, Amazon announced that it will host its second annual upfront presentation on Monday, May 12 at 6:30 p.m. ET at The Beacon Theatre in New York City. The presentation will include developments from Amazon Ads, a star-studded lineup of talent, and news from Amazon’s vast entertainment universe spanning Prime Video, Twitch, Amazon MGM Studios, Wondery, and Amazon Music. Amazon executives will showcase how reach, first-party signals, innovative ad tech, and storytelling converge to connect brands to premium content and a growing global portfolio of live sports via the world’s largest premium ad-supported streaming service. Amazon Ads helps advertisers reach an average monthly ad-supported audience of more than 275M in the U.S. across Amazon's owned and operated properties, in addition to a diverse offering of third-party publishers.
“We’ve seen positive feedback from agencies and brands leading to strong demand following our first upfront with Prime Video ads,” said Alan Moss, vice president of global ad sales at Amazon Ads. “Advertisers are leaning into our comprehensive offering of full-funnel advertising solutions. We’re connecting campaign tactics, across awareness, consideration, and conversion into a cohesive strategy – and more importantly, to directly measure the contribution of each tactic and enable on-going business growth.”
Amazon Ads offers powerful ad tech solutions, informed by trillions of first-party streaming, shopping, and browsing signals that make it easier for brands to drive results across the planning and activation stages of their streaming campaigns. To help brands better understand campaign effectiveness, Amazon Ads offers a suite of first-party and third-party measurement tools to help brands better understand campaign effectiveness. Amazon Ads helps brands directly measure outcomes from the very top of the funnel to the very bottom – for all brands, and not just those in the Amazon stores. With Amazon DSP, Amazon Marketing Cloud, and Amazon Publisher Cloud, advertisers can connect awareness and brand objectives directly to sales on Amazon properties and premium third-party publishers.
Amazon has built Prime Video into a premium, first-stop entertainment destination that connects customers with the programming they love. With its expansive slate of Original series and films from Amazon MGM Studios, Prime Video offers content including Reacher, The Lord of Rings: The Rings of Power, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Road House and The Idea of You. Additionally, customers have access to licensed movies and series, content from other services made accessible as an add-on subscriptions, blockbuster movies and series available to rent or buy, and FAST live linear channels.
The Amazon entertainment universe provides a powerful launchpad for advertisers to reach consumers, allowing marketers to orchestrate cohesive, cross-channel marketing strategies on Amazon's premium first-party content and third-party publishers outside of Amazon. With opportunities abound, marketers will have access to advertise against a wide-array of sports content, including live NBA and NASCAR coverage on Prime Video to popular podcasts like the Kelce brothers’ New Heights on Wondery.
Amazon Ads previously announced it will introduce limited advertisements on Prime Video in Brazil, India, Japan, the Netherlands, and New Zealand in 2025. The expansion of Prime Video ads will support the ongoing creation of compelling content, over a long period of time, and help brands of all sizes connect with new audiences in new countries. Prime Video ads is currently offered in Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, U.K., and the U.S. All regions also offer customers the choice of an ad-free option.
In addition to the live event at The Beacon Theatre, Amazon will make the event available for virtual online viewing. Additional details will be available in the coming months.
