Launch announcement
Amazon sellers can now create sponsored ads for books
December 17, 2024
What launched?
Amazon sellers can now use Amazon’s sponsored ads to promote books that they sell through their Seller Central account. If you are already using sponsored ads for other non-book products, you can now use that same ads account to promote books using the Amazon Ads console you're familiar with. If you are new to ads, then we recommend starting with the Sponsored Products, which are cost-per-click (CPC) ads that promote individual product listings on Amazon and select premium apps and websites. You can create a campaign in just a few minutes, even if you’ve never advertised before. Sponsored Products ads take shoppers directly to the product detail page and can help boost sales of individual products by making it simple for customers to browse or buy in just one or two clicks.
If your selling account is associated with a brand enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry, then you can also create Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display ads.
Why is it important?
Sponsored ads can help boost visibility, attract more readers, and drive sales with eye-catching ads in highly visible placements, including on search results pages and product detail pages in the Amazon store.
