What launched?
Sponsored Display’s Ad Carousel feature is now available in open beta for US-based, self-service advertisers who do not sell on Amazon. The Ad Carousel is a new, interactive creative format that turns your Display ad into an interactive, scrollable carousel. The new ad style leverages a second advertiser-submitted lifestyle image that is placed directly on the ad creative.

Advertisers must upload three creative assets to get started: 1) your brand’s logo image, 2) your ad’s headline up to 50 characters, and 3) up to two lifestyle images to convey your brand's story. We will automatically generate a default Call-to-Action (CTA) of “Learn more” for your creative. Using these creative assets that you’ve provided, Sponsored Display will do the heavy lifting of stitching together and rendering your display creative across different creative sizes, placement slots, devices, and viewports.
Why is it important?
- Upload Multiple Lifestyle Images for Higher Engagement: The ad carousel provides you with additional creative real estate to convey your brand story, and highlight your products and services to consumers. Ads with multiple images typically drive higher ad engagement than single-image ads: for Sponsored Display product ads from Amazon sellers, we have observed as much as +17% CTR improvement for multi-asset carousel ads.
- Reach High-Intent Consumers: Reach high-intent consumers at critical moments in the Amazon shopping journey, by placing your display ad next to highly relevant products being considered or just purchased.
